How to Reach Andaman and Nicobar Islands?

Port Blair is the capital of Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The Port Blair airport is directly connected to Chennai and Calcutta. The approximate time that you have to spend in the plane is around 2 hours. Indian Airlines is providing the service in all days of the week except Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. However, the easy and convenient way is if you choose for sea journey. Regular passenger ships are available from Calcutta, Chennai and Visakhapatnam to Port Blair. Around 3 days is required to complete the water journey.

Best Time to Go

Through out the year Andaman and Nicobar is full of travelers from across the world. But the best time that you should start a travel to the Islands is from October to May. As during this period the prediction of monsoon rainfall is a bit low. There is no extreme climate other than tropical storm in late summer that would cause obstacles in your trip.
