Mumbai Terror Attacks
Should India Take Leadership & Exercise Military Options Against Terrorists Holed Up in Pakistan?
In the aftermath of Mumbai terror attacks, millions of irate citizens from schoolchildren to senior citizens have woken up. The fury of Indians to such an extent was hitherto never witnessed until prior to 1947. All the rage is against only one commodity – the politicians. Anger is cent percent justified. It is high time that the citizens should unite and ask the Government in taking stringent actions against those involved in the heinous act against innocent lives. We do not want any more repetitions of 26/11 or any other terrorist attacks and the only alternative is to act tough against them.
Many people have voiced that India should attack terrorist establishments in Pakistan on its own without relying on countries like USA. We, as loyal citizens of India, must convey our opinions to the Indian Government by expressing it on open platforms like Internet. I would request all the readers to express their views and convey it to as many people as possible so that ultimately the concerned authorities also wake up from their deep slumber.
I personally feel that it is high time India must act independently without relying on a country like USA. Although USA has gone all the way out by sending Secretary of State Rice and Senator McCain to Pakistan in exerting its pressure to act strongly against the terrorists, one often wonders how serious its intents are. It remains to be seen, as history indicates to the contrary. USA is an economy that itself is on the verge of collapse by printing and pouring dollars into its couple of giant bankrupt institutions.
If India were to act on its own, the moot question is how effective is the foreign policy of Indian Government (or The Will of Politicians?). We need persons like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Iron Man of India at the helm of affairs. Well, India with its highly equipped Indian Army and tons of dare devil Sipahis, Majors, Colonels, Brigadiers and the powerful top brasses of Army, Navy and Airforce are more than willing and capable prove to win India’ battle against terrorism. The only thing that lacks is the will of the politicians to take right decisions. Politicians for the time being must put aside all the difference of opinions and get together to form one common agenda as per the voice of its citizens. If the politicians cannot take decisions, they should wear bangles and hand over the reins of India to Army.

India should keep aside diplomacy and take leadership to initiate tough measures. There are many countries who would whole heartedly support the bold move.
