In the world of technology, Aeronautical Engineering is the most technologically advanced branches of engineering. This branch of engineering deals with the designing and manufacturing. Eligibility Criteria – Aeronautical Engineering Courses
To admit Bachelor Degree Course in Aeronautical Engineering, one needs to qualify 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects having 60% marks in aggregate. One also has to face written test and interviews to get admitted. Besides IITs and IIAE there are some other institutes which conduct special Entrance examinations. To get into it is mandatory to qualify the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).
One can also get a diploma courses in Aeronautical Engineering. The diploma courses are of 2-3 years duration. Where degree course is of 4 years full time study. Students having a degree in electronics, mathematics or physics can also have scope in this area. Most of the time the students have to work in a team. But for their final year project or dissertations they have to work in a particular area of interest.
Scopes
The scope for Aeronautical Engineering depends upon your depth command over the areas and experience. Sometimes it also matters from which institution you have done the course. The salary would be up to 20-30k. Mainly Aerospace Industry and Military agencies provide scopes for employment of a broad range of professionals. In India govt. organizations such as Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO), Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) provides a better employment.
